Stabilization of a perturbed chain of integrators in prescribed time
Abstract
In this work, we study issues of prescribed time stabilization of a chain of integrators of arbitrary length, that can be either pure (i.e. with no disturbance) or perturbed. In the first part, we revisit the feedback law proposed by Song et al. and we show that it can be appropriately recast within the framework of time-varying homogeneity. Since this feedback is not robust with respect to measurement noise, in the second part of the paper, we provide a feedback law inspired by the sliding mode theory. This latter feedback not only stabilizes the pure chain of integrators in prescribed time but also exhibits robustness in the presence of disturbances.
