Inria.hal.science portal passes to the dark side and becomes more accessible thanks to Umbrhal
Umbrhal is a dark visualisation mode with bicolour contrast for a more comfortable view of the pages.
Umbrhal is developped by Inria to rest your eyes and uses contrast rules, in ordre to be more accessible for visually impaired.
To use Umbrhal, install the Stylus extension, import the Umbrhal script and that's about it. Activate Umbrhal by checking a box. Next time you browse inria.hal.science, the colours will change automatically. To deactivate, uncheck and you will find the original colours of inria.hal.science.

Welcome to the focus of Umbrhal, the dark theme for Hal Inria.
INSTALLATION
For this tutorial, we'll be using Firefox. But the procedure for Chrome is the same. However, if you're using Edge, please refer to the Microsoft documentation to enable Chrome extensions for this browser.
On your search engine, search for Stylus. then click on the corresponding link. Once you're on the extension page. Click on Add. Once installed, Stylus icon will be visible at the top of your browser.
Next, go to the GITHUB page Inria Umbrhal dark theme. This page also features a tutorial explaining how to install the extension and theme from A-Z, and additional information such as what does the script do and release notes.
DOWNLOAD
Go to the download section, then click on the Umbrhal script link. This will open a window in a new tab, and all you have to do is click on Install Style button at the top left-hand corner. Then once you've done this, you can close this same tab.
Now visit the Hal Inria portal. As you can see, the script is enabled by default, but you can choose to disable it by going to the Stylus extension panel and unchecking Umbhral.
CUSTOMIZATION
To personalize the theme and adapt it to your needs and desires. Click on the Stylus extension icon, then on the configure tab. A menu will appear, where you can choose the theme colors if you wish to customize them. You can also undo modifications! By clicking on the cross right after the color box to reset it. This menu has a full reset button, which resets all colors. So be careful!
INFORMATION
To find out if your script is up to date. Go to the Stylus icon and click on Manage. Once in the manage window, go to the script. You'll see 4 icons, look for the update icon and click on it. But if it's up to date, you'll be informed! However, if an update is available, you just need to click on the button, it will update automatically.

OUTILS
All the theme's default colors have been checked using Constrast Checker. This same tool is used to check contrasts between colors and, among other things, improve accessibility for the visually impaired.
