An Overview of Mobility Models in Wireless Sensor Networks
Résumé
Mobility in wireless sensor networks is a permanent and challenging issue, since it implies network topology modification, necessity of new routing techniques and consequently requirement of appropriate mobility models - assuming that the different mobility models have different impact on specific network protocols and performances. This paper is an overview of the mobility models used in wireless sensor networks for simulation and protocol analysis. The goal is to systematically present the various models and their impact on different network performance metrics.
