Fuzzy reasoning based vehicle road line following

Abstract

One of the goals of the intelligent transportation domain is to develop systems based on a fleet of fully automated cars designed for short trips at low speed in urban areas. These systems will offer advantages of high flexibility, efficiently, safety, and thus, will improve the quality of life in our cities in terms of parking management, environment protection, etc.). One of the key functions that such transportation systems must achieve concerns vehicle autonomous navigation. This paper presents a vehicle road line following using a fuzzy reasoning system. The developed algorithms are implemented and tested on a fully automated vehicle platform.
