Distributed Architecture for Resource Management in Large Scale Grids
Résumé
Grid computing provides enough computation power to perform numerical simulations but it is complex to use. Vigne is a system that ease the use of a large scale grid composed with heterogeneous and unreliable resources. In this paper, we describe the general architecture of Vigne and we present more particularly the application management service and the resource allocation service. We present results, obtained with a working prototype of Vigne during experimentations realized on the Grid'5000 testbed, that show the efficiency of the resource allocation service.
