Using Information Theoric Measures for Detecting Faulty Behavior in Ad-Hoc Networks

Abstract

This report considers the issue of detecting faulty behavior in ad-hoc networks. Our approach is based on monitoring the intermittence of network nodes in order to infer network failures. This report shows how information theoretic measures can identify abnormal intermittence and proposes several distributed fault detection decision paradigms including an auto-configurable solution.
