Monitoring End-to-End Connectivity in Mobile Ad-Hoc Networks
Abstract
Ad-hoc networking raises new challenges towards providing to networks the required quality of service (QoS). We propose in this paper a new QoS metric, called coverage degree, taking into account the possible end-to-end connectivity in a mobile ad-hoc network. Based on an initial model and extensive simulations, we show how different parameters affect this metric and we propose a monitoring approach capable to evaluate it.
