Trust Factors Affecting the Adoption of E-Government for Civic Engagement
Résumé
This study aims to investigate trust factors affecting the use and adoption of e-government services, which lead to civic engagement. The constructs identified in this study are related to the theories of technology adoption in addition to trust constructs: trust in government, trust in technology, and trust in e-government. The study adopted the quantitative approach and surveyed more than 500 individuals in Kuwait. The findings indicate positive correlations between research constructs. Moreover, trust factors and perceived usefulness are found to be critical factors in the adoption and use of e-government services which greatly contribute to the achievement of civic engagement.
