Control of bio-conversion of polymeric substrate in the chemostat
Résumé
We design a simple model of the growth of
polysaccharide-decomposing bacteria in a continuous stirred
tank reactor. We control the dilution rate to optimize the output
of monosaccharides, which is of industrial interest. We study
the model, find the optimum at the stationary state, and design
a control that makes the closed system globally stable around
the optimal equilibrium.
