Smart Energy Management of a Hybrid Micro-grid system
Abstract
The aim of this article is to present a new generation of hybrid hierarchical control using Petri nets supervisor to manage typical Microgrids combining renewable sources, in this case a wind turbine, and a Diesel generators. The goal is to reduce fuel consumption while optimizing using the batteries. The system components, diesel generator, wind turbine, batteries and controller are modeled using Matlab Simulink. Numerical simulations are performed for different configurations and operating conditions.
