(BA) From Anarchy to Geometric Structuring: the Power of Virtual Coordinates

Abstract

This note defines self-structuring in a large-scale networked system as the ability of the participating entities to collaboratively impose a geometric structure to the network. This requires to assign virtual coordinates to entities and divide them into structured partitions such that each entity knows the partition it belongs to.
