Verified Parallel Programming in Coq with Bulk Synchronous Parallel Homomorphisms

Résumé

In this paper, we use the Coq interactive theorem prover to develop a formally verified heat diffusion simulation. To do so, we follow a transformational approach: from a specification using some easily understandable predefined sequential function we obtain an efficient parallel program based on the BH algorithmic skeleton, that is a higher-order function implemented in parallel on a distributed data structure. The obtained program is experimented on a parallel machine.
