Abstract

We formulated the large beam-deflection problem as a general nonlinear BVP. • We reviewed the commonly used methods for modeling beam deflection in CMs. • We introduced efficient numerical methods to solve beam deflection problems. • We provided comments and analysis about all the mentioned methods.
