Monitoring Coverage In Dynamic Wireless Ad-Hoc Networks
Abstract
The increasing interest in providing infrastructure-less wireless networks based on ad-hoc networking raises new challenges towards providing them the required quality of service. In this paper, we propose a new QoS metric taking into account the possible average coverage in an ad-hoc network. Based on an initial model and extensive simulations, we show how different parameters affect this metric and we propose a monitoring approach capable to evaluate it.
