Visualization of Web data: Complementarities between a graph and a multi-maps approach
Résumé
Visualization tools give a helpful approach to describe the web-supported communication in R and D. Graph theoretical methods are used for investigating link structures on the Web. These structures can be interpreted by including the characteristics of the websites in the analysis. To achieve this, two methods defined for analysis bibliographical data are combined for the first time: the BibTechMonTM graph theoretical method and the MutiSOM clustering and mapping method. The complementarities between these two approaches are highlighted in terms of analysis process and indicator definition.
