Haemulidae distribution patterns along the Northeastern Brazilian continental shelf and size at first maturity of the most abundant species

Résumé

Haemulidae are broadly distributed in Northeast Brazil due to the complex habitat in the region. H. plumierii, H. aurolineatum and H. squamipinna were the most dominant species in the Family. Population structure, and size at first maturity were defined for the dominant species (3 spp.). Southern coasts of PE and RN hold high abundance, richness and concentration of juveniles.
