Collagen-mineral axial relationship in calcified turkey leg tendon by X-ray and neutron diffraction.

Résumé

The axial relationship between the collagen and mineral componetns in calcified turkey leg tendon was investigated using low-angle X-ray and neutron diffraction. The results indicate that the mineral is arranged with the same axial periodicity as the collagen and occupies the gap region of the collagen structure. The axial relationship between the collagen and mineral componetns in calcified turkey leg tendon was investigated using low-angle X-ray and neutron diffraction.
